From heaven the Spirit plunges
deep into our hearts,
love's infinity.

Mary's month has come,
bursting with resurrection.
All praise to our God.

Lent Haiku

Spring plants reach skyward,
but humans bow low, sending
their roots in search of water.

Transformed by the Eucharist

Like a spring surges
out of dry and barren ground
grace surges from our hearts.

Together

The mass is crowded
with saints, apostles, angels,
deity - and me.

Through a glass darkly

The mirror stays dark.
I cannot see angel wings
beating around me.

Spontaneous prayer

Spontaneous prayer
bombards heaven with my pleas.
Hurled upward, fear dies.

Arrow Flight

Like an  arrow aimed
upward to the Son I fly
feathered by sweet prayer.
