Welcome, Lent

Lent comes wrapped in purple,
like twilight at the end of day,
sunset before eternal dawn.

Now all voices fall silent
and hidden stars start to gleam
in the darkening dome of heaven.

    Your poems are so beautiful, mine are simple airy fairy, little things. I have always loved words they can be arranged so wonderfully to express thoughts and feelings that can make your spirit soar to the highest heavens. You are blessed with such a gift.
